Rustixx Salon & spa
Rustixx Salon & Spa was established in December of 2002. I was one month shy of my 21st birthday. I was a crazy, oblivious BUT a determined 20 year old!! All my life I have been very independent and strong minded, this area of my life was no different. I wanted to build my career in a place where I could call the shots. I wanted to use the colour line I loved and had used to train for all my competitions with. I wanted to use the styling products that produced the results I wanted on all my clients. I wanted to paint and decorate a place I could call my own! I wanted a place where my clients could come relax and escape from the world for that moment.
In February of 2004 we finished the renovations in the basement. We now had 4 esthetics rooms away from all the hustle and bustle of the salon for clients to relax and treat themselves to a facial treatment, pedicure or body treatment of their choice.
I had and still have to this day a wonderful and strong support team that I couldn't have done it without. Sometimes I think I was crazy to have taken on so much responsibility at such a young age. It has been a long, crazy, fun and sometimes hard journey from then until now. I have no regrets. Everyday I learn something new. I try to learn from all my experiences so that I can improve as a stylist, employer and a person. 12 years later and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else(and I'm still using that same colour line that I love so much!). The good times and the bad times go hand in hand and I am the person I am today because of them all. Everything happens for a reason!
